Abstract

This research-in-progress paper critically examines the discovery interview methodology both as a subject of study and as a tool for critical thinking development. The presentation analyzes how this qualitative research approach can be taught to students in ways that foster critical analysis skills while simultaneously encouraging reflection on the method's own theoretical underpinnings and limitations. Through exploring both the practical application and philosophical examination of discovery interviews, the session offers insights into developing more nuanced research literacy among students.
