Abstract

This full research paper examines sustainable business practices that successfully balance profitability with social and environmental responsibility in organizational management. The presentation analyzes case studies of businesses that have implemented triple-bottom-line approaches while maintaining financial viability. Key strategies discussed include circular economy principles, stakeholder engagement models, ethical supply chain management, and integrated reporting frameworks. The research demonstrates how organizations can transform sustainability challenges into competitive advantages through innovative business models and leadership practices.

Author Biography

Hala Fendi, University Canada West

Dr. Hala Fendi is an Associate Professor/ Continuing Track faculty at UCW; she is a PMP-Certified project manager and accomplished urban designer with B.SC, M.SC, and PH.D degrees in Architecture Engineering Technology, a Master of Engineering Leadership in Urban Systems from the University of British Columbia, and a Prosci-certified Change Management Certificate (CCMP). With over fifteen years of experience, she excels in architecture, project management, urban design, sustainable planning, and change management. Her portfolio includes high-quality urban planning and architectural designs for four city master plans within multi-million dollar budgets, among many other significant projects. In addition to an active career in architecture and design, Dr. Fendi has dedicated over fifteen years to education, where her teaching philosophy centers on critical and creative thinking, proactive approaches, and learning environments that embrace constructive feedback. Her scholarly contributions 2019, such as Public Policies & Infrastructure for Cities; System Thinking in Action and Pathways to Well-Being: Green Transportation and Urban Livability in Vancouver underscore her commitment to environmental science and urban planning. Recently she focused on evaluating change management from a project management perspective presenting her research at the 2023 PDGIA Conference. Her passion for teaching and research drives her continuous commitment and dedication to advancing faculty development and prosperity.
