Abstract

This research-in-progress paper investigates how ChatGPT and similar AI tools can be effectively integrated into classroom activities to enhance collaboration and problem-solving skills. The presentation explores innovative pedagogical approaches that leverage AI as a partner in the learning process rather than just a tool for content generation. Practical examples of AI-enhanced collaborative activities, assessment strategies, and frameworks for developing students' AI literacy while maintaining academic integrity will be shared.

Mojgan Afshari, University Canada West

Dr. Mojgan Afshari is an accomplished educator, researcher, and curriculum designer with over 28 years of academic experience. She holds a PhD in Educational Administration specializing in Technology Leadership and advanced certifications in PIDP, TESOL, e-learning, and Business Analysis. Currently, Dr. Afshari teaches Quantitative Reasoning, Business Statistics, and Business Writing at University Canada West and Yorkville University. Known for her innovative teaching methods, she emphasizes critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills. A published author, she has contributed to educational leadership, technology integration, and student engagement through impactful research, including a Springer book chapter on remote learning and peer-reviewed articles on creativity and leadership in education.
