Abstract

This research-in-progress paper explores the feasibility of implementing a Running Start-style program within British Columbia's post-secondary system. The presentation examines how this dual enrollment model, which allows high school students to simultaneously earn high school and college credits, could be adapted to the BC context. The research analyzes potential benefits, implementation challenges, required policy changes, and expected outcomes for students, institutions, and the broader educational ecosystem. Comparative analysis with successful programs in other jurisdictions will be included.
