Gamifying Library Orientation
An Escape Room Experience
Abstract
This presentation explores an innovative approach to library orientation through the implementation of an educational escape room experience. The session will share the design process, learning objectives, implementation strategies, and assessment outcomes of this gamified library introduction. The presenters will discuss how puzzle-based learning enhances student engagement with library resources, improves information literacy skills, and creates positive associations with academic support services. Practical guidance for institutions interested in developing similar experiential learning activities will be provided.Published
