Abstract

This short research paper explores how pedagogical leadership can empower educators to transform challenges into opportunities within higher education. The presentation examines leadership approaches that foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in teaching practices. Practical strategies for developing educational leaders who can effectively navigate institutional changes, support faculty development, and enhance student learning experiences will be shared. The session highlights the importance of creating a culture where educators are empowered to experiment, reflect, and grow professionally.

Author Biography

Rob Fahlman, Excel College

During the last 25 years, Rob has worked in post-secondary education in the lower mainland of BC. Starting within the classroom, he has worked in administration, curriculum design, educational technology, proposal development, and leadership. He is currently the VPA for Excel College. Rob completed his undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Literature followed by his MBA at the UofS. Currently, Rob is studying in the EDDE program at Athabasca University. When not working or studying, Rob enjoys spending his time with his wife and two daughters who are also studying in university.
