Abstract

This short research paper explores the accessibility of campus wellness programs for international students in Canadian post-secondary institutions through a multicultural worldview lens. The presentation examines cultural barriers, misconceptions, and systemic challenges that affect international students' utilization of mental health and wellness services. Evidence-based strategies for developing culturally responsive wellness programs that better address the unique needs of international student populations will be discussed.

Deepika Nayyar, LaSalle College Vancouver

My name is Deepika Nayyar, and I am an educator and educational counselor by profession committed towards helping students from diverse backgrounds foster academically and personally. Throughout my career in Education field of almost 9 years, my areas of focus have centered on diversity and inclusion, as I work with students from varied cultural beliefs and needs. I specialize in guiding students through their educational journeys and emotional well-being. I hold a Master's Degree in Education from Thompson Rivers University and am enthusiastic about fostering inclusive, supportive environments where every student can thrive.
